WebDAW.js Modern Sequencer Instructions
WebDAW.js Modern Sequencer is a web-based modern digital audio workstation (DAW) sequencer that allows users to create and edit music rhythms online. The following is a detailed description of its main functions and controls:
1. Basic controls
Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat Open, Hi-Hat Closed: These are the basic percussion tracks in the sequencer. You can add notes and create rhythmic patterns by clicking on the small grids on the tracks. Each track represents a percussion instrument, corresponding to the kick drum (Kick), snare drum (Snare), open cymbal (Hi-Hat Open) and closed cymbal (Hi-Hat Closed).
Tempo: Displays the current tempo (BPM, beats per minute). You can adjust this value to change the playback speed. Generally, the higher the BPM, the faster the rhythm.
2. Control buttons
Pause: Pause the currently playing rhythm. After clicking, playback will stop, but the state of the sequencer will be preserved, and you can click again to resume playback at any time.
Stop: Stops playback and clears the currently playing rhythm pattern. Unlike Pause, Stop resets the sequencer to its initial state, waiting for a new rhythm pattern to be created.
Clear All: Clears all notes on all tracks, returning the sequencer to a completely blank state. This button is useful when you want to start editing a rhythm again.
3. Editing the Rhythm
Adding a Note: On the selected track, click any small grid to add a note. Usually, clicking will toggle the state of the grid (with note/no note).
Deleting a Note: Click the grid with a note added again to delete the note.
Editing the Rhythm Pattern: By clicking different grids, you can create complex rhythm patterns. Try different combinations to explore different rhythms and beats.
4. Playing and Monitoring
Once you have created a rhythm pattern, click the Play button (usually there will be a Play icon on the Sequencer interface) to start playing. You should be able to hear the percussion rhythm generated through WebDAW.js Modern Sequencer.
5. Notes
Make sure your browser supports the Web Audio API, as this is the basis for WebDAW.js to run.
Some advanced features (such as import/export rhythm patterns, MIDI support, etc.) may not be available in the basic version, depending on the version and configuration of WebDAW.js.
Try different browsers and devices to find the settings that best suit your workflow.
WebDAW.js Modern Sequencer is a powerful tool suitable for music production beginners and professionals. Through practice and exploration, you can discover more advanced features and creative possibilities.
