8-Beats Music Editor
Welcome Screen
When you open 8-Beats Music Editor, you will see a simple interface that contains the basic tools and options needed to create, edit, and play music.
Main functions and button descriptions:
New Beat: Clicking this button will create a new music beat sequence. If you are editing an existing sequence, this operation will clear the current sequence and start a new one.
Clear: Clear all notes and rests in the beat sequence currently being edited.
Square: This button may be used to switch or set a specific note display mode, such as square format display, but the specific function may vary depending on the software version. In some editors, it may not directly correspond to an obvious function. It is recommended to refer to the documentation of the specific software.
Save TXT: Save the currently edited beat sequence as a text file (.txt). This is very useful for backing up or sharing sequences between different editors.
Open: Open a previously saved text file (.txt) to continue editing or playing an existing beat sequence.
Speed: Adjust the playback speed. By increasing or decreasing the speed value, you can control how fast the sequence plays.
Loop: Enable or disable the loop playback function. When enabled, the sequence will repeat until you stop it manually.
Play: Play the currently edited beat sequence. Click this button to start playing, and click again to stop playing.
Notes and Rests: The interface lists the basic notes in music (such as DO, RE, MI, etc.) and rests (Silence), as well as their sharp versions (such as DO#, RE#, etc.). You can add them to the current beat sequence by clicking these buttons.
Octave: Control the octave of the currently edited note. By clicking the "-" or "+" buttons, you can lower or raise the octave of the note to adapt to different range requirements.
C: In some editors, the C key may be used to reset certain settings or functions, but the specific behavior may vary from software to software. If there is no clear label or description next to it, please refer to the software's help documentation.
Usage suggestions:
Before starting to edit, plan your music structure, including the length of the beat, the combination of notes, and the overall speed.
Use the loop playback function to listen to your creation repeatedly for fine-tuning and improvement.
Don't forget to save your work; regular backups can prevent data loss.
Explore different tempo and octave settings to find the sound that works best for your creation.
Hopefully, this tutorial will help you get the most out of 8-Beats Music Editor and create some great music!
